Refunds and cancellations

Two policies apply to every booking, and it is worth knowing which is which.

Who handles what

Urbanaut

Payment, ticketing and any payment-processing terms sit with Urbanaut, where you booked. Refunds are paid back through Urbanaut to the way you paid.

BAUfabrique

Whether a programme runs, what happens if we cancel or postpone it, and any programme-specific refund terms.

If we cancel or postpone

If we cancel a programme, you get a full refund of what you paid for it.

If we postpone it, you can keep your place on the new date or take a full refund instead. We will write to you as soon as a date changes, and tell you how long you have to choose.

If weather, a ferry or anything else outside our control stops a field study from running safely on the day, we treat it as a postponement.

If you cannot make it

Write to us at hello@baufabrique.com as early as you can. Where a programme has a waiting list, you can usually pass your place to someone else or move to a later run of the same programme.

Refunds when you cancel follow the terms shown on Urbanaut at the time you booked, and any terms stated on the programme's own page. If you do not attend and have not told us, there is no refund.

Safety, age limits and insurance are not site-wide

A ferry crossing to an island and an afternoon in a studio do not carry the same risk, so there is no blanket statement here. Every programme states its own conditions on its own page: minimum age, what is not included, physical demands and insurance position. Read those before you book.
